Urban Apple Orchard

One year public installation for San Francisco Art Commission's Market Street Art in Transit program on a blighted CALTRANS lot under the freeway at Octavia and Market Streets.

Salvaged tires, recycled concrete gravel, eleven different "antique" apple trees, salvaged tree limbs.

With the participation of local residents, students, homeless persons, and an urban gardening action group.

Upon dismantling, the trees went to local schools and a neighborhood-organized park.
